Acupuncture for Sinusitis
Acupuncture & Chinese Medical Center has developed a special acupuncture technique that helps patients with Sinusitis successfully.
Sinusitis and sinus headache can be triggered by allergy and viral infections. Symptoms may include nasal congestion, pain, cough, toothache, ear infection, fever, and general fatigue. Sinusitis often follows an upper respiratory infection (common cold) or an allergic reaction (hay fever).
How does acupuncture work for Sinusitis?
The World Health Organization has recognized acupuncture to be beneficial for diseases of the respiratory tract such as sinusitis, sore throat, bronchitis, asthma, and recurrent chest infections. Acupuncture can alleviate or eliminate symptoms of allergic and irritant sinusitis, including sinus headache, pain, congestion, swollen and inflammatory exudation of the nasal cavity. Acupuncture can be integrated with Chinese herbs. Acupuncture regulates and strengthens the immune system, decreases healing time, prevents acute sinusitis from becoming chronic and educes the side effects of antibiotics and medication.
Course of treatment
There are 10-15 acupuncture sessions in one course of treatment. Treatment frequency depends on individual condition. Chinese herbs work synergistically with acupuncture.
