Acupuncture for Prostate Health
The prostate is prone to enlargement and inflammation in men beginning in their sixties.
How does acupuncture work for prostate problems?
Acupuncture may increase energy and blood flow to the prostate area to reduce inflammation or infection; decrease in urinary difficulties and improve urinary bladder function. Acupuncture also helps to reduce or get rid of the pain and prevent the more serious conditions from occurring, such as prostate cancer, urinary tract infections, bladder or kidney damage, bladder stone, and incontinence. The studies completed on “acupuncture and prostatitis” show positive results with participants noticing a marked improvement.
Course of treatment
There are 10-15 acupuncture sessions in one course of treatment. Treatment frequency depends on individual condition. Chinese herbs work synergistically with acupuncture.
