Acupuncture for Low Blood Sugar (Hypoglycemia)
Low blood sugar is called hypoglycemia. A blood sugar level below 70 mg/dL is low and can harm you.
Realizing your blood sugar is getting low when you have symptoms such as: weakness or feeling tired, shaking, sweating, hunger, feeling uneasy, nervous, or anxious or cranky, trouble thinking clearly, fast or pounding heartbeat, double or blurry vision or headache. If the blood sugar gets too low, may have faint, seizure, or go into a coma.
How does acupuncture work for Low Blood Sugar?
Acupuncture regulates the central nervous system to increase adrenergic nervous system function, promote the release of adrenaline to regulate blood glucose levels in the brain. Acupuncture can also regulate islet function, balance insulin; increase liver function, promote liver glycogen decomposition, promote glucose release into the blood to raise your blood glucose level. Acupuncture may help prevent the serious problems that hypoglycemia can cause. Such, Acupuncture not only reduces or gets rid of hypoglycemia symptoms, but also corrects the various underlying causes of hypoglycemia.
