I have been seeing Dr. Kong off and on for over 10 years. I keep returning not because she is not curing my ailments but because I experience different issues that acupuncture has alleviated and/or cured. For example, I first had major difficulties with asthma and allergy. I remember one instance I was having an asthma attack which went away due to Dr. Kong's treatment. With chronic problems like allergy and asthma repeat visits are often necessary. But Dr. Kong will advise according to the progress made. With other issues related to headache or back pain her treatments continue to provide welcome relief. I have also had bouts of vertigo which only acupuncture seems to cure. I tried pills and other homeopathic treatments but only acupuncture really relieved the problem. I know Dr. Kong has helped so many others with very different health issues from mine. I highly recommend her care to anyone and everyone with any type of health issue.

How does acupuncture work for Allergies?

Acupuncture can help Allergies in a few ways. It can help stabilize the cells that release histamine (the chemical that causes most allergy symptoms). Acupuncture can also improve the immune systems control over allergy reactions. Acupuncture can improve the processing of allergens in our digestive tract as well. This allows more tolerance of other allergens.

Course of treatment

There are 10-15 acupuncture sessions in one course of treatment. Treatment frequency depends on individual condition. Chinese herbs work synergistically with acupuncture.
